I've just finished a shoot for the Masters of Linen collaboration with Savile Row. The great names of Savile Row are joining force to celebrate using Linen. Henry Poole, Dege and Skinner, Anderson and Sheppar, Meyer and Mortimer, Norton and Sons, Huntsmen and Hardy Amies have all accepted the challenge to create new designs in linen for a month long shop window display and promotion of linen in conjunction with the European quality mark association Master of Linen.
The shoot will be featured in the June issue of Twist Magazine.

The April edition of Twist Magazine is another ground breaking issue with a special shoot using luxury fabric house Loro Piana's wonderful Spring Summer 2010 collection fabrics.
Florian Pessenteiner who is a rising star in modeling is the front cover model for Twist and features in the inside photo story. The front cover and photo story have garnered incredibly positive feedback for it's innovative use of photography. The shoot was quite a big risk to take as it is quite left field but myself and the Twist team were sure this would be a hit as the April edition is the first edition to be translated and distributed in Japan. The inspiration came from both Italian movies and the cult Kaiju films better known in the west as the Godzilla films. Kaiju means "giant monster". One of Godzilla's greatest fans is in fact Japan's Prime Minister, so we expect to have a huge reaction to the origami style monsters feature in the shoot sporting the very latest fabrics from Loro Piana.
I shot a special photographic story for Twist Magazine sponsored by Holland and Sherry.
The challenge was to present fabric in a dynamic fresh way. Much of the briefs from Twist do require a lot of creative thinking as we're not shooting clothes and in this case we would be quite literally making the clothes on set. I called up on the help of a friend and tailor/dress designer Brigitte McLean. Better known for her work in the fetish fashion world I knew Brigitte was the woman to ask as she is both very creative but alsooriginally a trained engineer. She leapt at the chance to do it as it was an opportunity for her to let her imagination fly and play with the most amazing fabrics.
Working as usual with my favourite hair and make up artist Samantha Myers the day ahead was an exciting challenge for all of us, particularly as it was in fact one of the hottest days of the year. The models really enjoyed it as they became part of the creative process. Both Hannah and Alexia from Boss Models who worked for us were also actresses so they brought a different kind of energy to the shoot.
The results speak for themselves, Holland and Sherry were absolutely delighted and amazed by the work we created and will be exhibiting the prints of these photographs initially at their Saville Row showroom ( 9 - 10 Saville Row) from December onwards. The photographs are then expected to tour to their other show rooms around the world including Italy and New York.

Well despite the wild winds and rain we managed quite a successful shoot , more pictures will be uploaded to site soon.
As you see we had no need of a wind machine
Look out for prints of the pics on the Makepiece stand at London Fashion Week
